One of my favorite times of year has finally arrived. Spring turkey season! With the exception of a few states the season opener is only a week or two away and its time for a final gear check. I am especially excited for this years’ spring season as I will (hopefully) be hunting Colorado, Nebraska, and Kansas. One of these will bring a new element to turkey hunting for me as it will require a kayak which should be a cool twist in itself. The addition of a gear list section to the website and every list that is posted from here out serves two purposes: to show the gear that I use and feel gives me the best chance of success, and so I can use it for reference and hopefully not leave anything behind! The Stone Glacier backpack and the Irish Setter boots are brand new to me and turkey season is usually a good season to test and break-in new gear as its not nearly as rigorous as most big game hunting. Every other piece of gear on this list has proven itself effective and is my go to gear for turkey.
